Hello everyone!
This is Jacob Weaver, your Indiana State President for 2010-2011. My state project this year is to raise money for Loveway, a therapeutic horseback riding in Middlebury ( I volunteer there with my mom. I have help with an elementary class and a young-adult class. I have seen first hand how this interaction not only helps with the physical condition of a girl who is in a wheelchair, but also a boy who is non-verbal and eagerly uses sign language when he is riding. The children learn to count as they brush the horse. They all LOVE to ride. I am selling horse pins to raise money for the center. I am also speaking to different organizations. I'd love to speak to your C.A.R. Society or DAR Chapter. My theme is "sending a little love to Loveway."

The first state board meeting will be August 21 at Bonneyville Park in Elkhart County. ( We will start at 11:30 a.m. and go over the summer packet. Please bring your own picnic lunch. After we eat we can take a tour of Loveway before our meeting is over. Our Regional meeting is in Wisconsin, July 12-13 and my brother Steven, is the Great Lakes Vice President. Let's have a good turn out from Indiana. I will be giving a speech there about my state project. You'll meet lots of new friends and enjoy the skits.

Hope to see everyone soon!
Jacob Weaver
