Words from the President

Hello everyone! Hello C.A.R. friends! I hope you all are getting ready to have a great summer! My name is Hannah Weaver and I am this year’s Indiana State President. My state project this year is raising money for the dyslexic program at Hindman Settlement School in Kentucky. I am raising money for a scholarship for at least one child to attend the schools summer program that helps the children understand how they learn differently with dyslexia. It is quite expensive for kids to go to this six week program, but no child has ever been turned away for lack of funds. My state theme is “A Need To Read”. I would be happy to speak to S.A.R., D.A.R. societies and attend your society meetings. I will be speaking at the banquet at the Great Lakes Regionals in Columbus, OH. I hope lots of Indiana members can make it. Remember to promote my state project and the National President’s project! Hannah Weaver Indiana State President C.A.R.
