Veterans Affairs

A week is set aside every February for the Salute to Hospitalized Veterans and
it draws many participants from across the community to show appreciation to
veterans. Indiana DAR hosts the hospitality greeting room.

DAR is active in volunteer veteran services throughout the state with not only
visitation at Roudebush Veterans Hospital in Indianapolis and the VAMC in Ft. Wayne, IN,
but also to community nursing homes and the Indiana Veterans Home in Lafayette.

The Daughters provide many needed and wanted items for hospitalized veterans
and homeless and needy veterans as well as the veteran's family members.

The Daughters actively participate in the September MIA-POW observance at the
Veterans Plaza and the Veterans Day Parade both held in Indianapolis.
