Members Attend the First Meeting of John Paul Chapter, NSDAR, in 1902

The ladies of John Paul Chapter welcome you to our website!

Organized on June 7, 1902, under the leadership of Mrs. William A. Guthrie, organizing regent, and Mrs. Michael Garber, charter member and past regent, our chapter honors the service and memory of Colonel John Paul, Revolutionary War patriot and founder of Madison, Indiana in 1823.

We would be most pleased to have you as a member of John Paul Chapter!  If you have an interest in promoting historic preservation, education, and patriotism, and a desire to make new friends as we celebrate our American heritage, DAR may be for you!  Any woman, 18 years of age or older, who can prove lineal, blood line descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence is eligible for membership.
